How First Goal Contest Works
Pick. Score. Win. Here's everything you need to know — from your first pick to your first prize.
Predict the First Goal
Before every Canadian NHL game, pick which player you think will score the opening goal of the game. That's it.
Make Your Pick
Browse the game's roster and tap the player you think opens the scoring. Any skater is eligible — including defenders.
One Pick Per Game
You can pick in as many games as you want, but only one player per game. Change your mind? Update your pick any time before puck drop.
Picks Lock at Puck Drop
The moment the game starts, picks are locked. You cannot submit or change a pick after puck drop.
